The Nollenathi are the first known fully aquatic race to become a spacefaring people. Since becoming part of the galactic community, they have distinguished themselves as pilots and navigators: presumably because of their innate grasp on and processing of spatial information. Additionally, because their starships are full of water, they have been forced to create impressive recycling and purification systems, resulting in an abnormally high percentage of scientists throughout the galaxy.

Organization & Culture
When aboard their own ships, Nollenathi typically wear little or nothing; however, when they leave the safety of their ships they are forced to wear cumbersome encounter suits. These suits are water filled like their ships, with advanced water circulation and filtration systems. In addition, they are built with between 4 and 10 robotic legs which allow the Nollenath to move about on dry land. The entire apparatus is quite bulk yet a necessity if they are to participate in many aspects of the galactic community. Still, they prefer to interact with other races via networked communications, rather than face to face, so that they can remain in a comfortable habitat.
Because of the vast physical impairments encountered by them whilst interacting with other races, they tend to be a stand offish people who keep to themselves. This has led to a distrust of them by many of the other races and a similar dislike of the oxy-breathers by the Nollenathi as a whole. Of all the other races, they feel most comfortable with the Modrocai, as they are both limited by their own physiology in their abilities to interact with other races.
